Dr. Teresa Gorski graduated with her D.D.S. degree from the University Of Detroit in 1975. She opened her own practice shortly after and has been bringing smiles to the Detroit community ever since. Dr. Gorski is passionate about dentistry with over 40 years of practice experience and a wealth of continuing education. Dr. Gorski received her Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 1989, She is passionate about helping patients achieve optimal health through holistic dentistry and restoring the form and function of their teeth.
Dr. Gorski has received extensive continuing education in the field of orthodontics, sleep apnea, and TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorder treatment. Her primary focus is total reconstructive dentistry. She works with patients suffering from occlusal disease (bite problems), helping to restore their teeth to a comfortable, functional state. Dr. Gorski is happy to provide her patients with a variety of orthodontic services, including traditional braces as well as Invisalign. Away from the office, Dr. Gorski enjoys tending to her garden and spending time with her family.
Dr. Michael Szewczyk received his D.D.S. degree from the University Of Detroit in 1989. Dr. Szewczyk excelled in the field of Prosthodontics while a student, receiving the S.G. Applegate award for Outstanding Achievement in Prosthodontics. Dr. Szewczyk continues to stay up to date on present-day trends, and makes continuing education a top priority. He is dedicated to the best possible patient care; as a result, he received his Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2001, completing over 500 hours of continuing education and passing a rigorous fellowship exam. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Mike received training at the prestigious Dawson Academy, which focuses on the intricacies of patient occlusion and the overall functionality of the mouth. He has received continuing education in implant restoration and placement. Dr. Mike has received extensive training in laser dentistry, receiving an Associate Fellowship from the World Clinical Laser Institute in 2014. Dr. Szewczyk is passionate about endodontic and prosthetic dentistry, and makes your satisfaction his top priority. You’ll walk out of his office with a smile you can be proud of!
When outside the office, Dr. Mike enjoys competitive sailing, being an eight time participant in the Bayview Port Huron to Mackinac race. He enjoys connecting with nature, tending to his garden, participating in hunting season in Michigan, and downhill skiing out West. He has been married for over 25 years to his wife and has two daughters. Both of his daughters also chose to enter the field of dentistry. Michelle received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry and Katie received her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan School Of Dentistry. He is very proud of both of his girls.
Dr. Michelle Szewczyk began her path in dentistry with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. From there, she attended the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree and received the Excellence in Dental Research award. Dr. Michelle is very active in organized dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and Oakland County Dental Society. She is looking forward to building close, long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families. In her spare time, Dr. Michelle enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling.
